Get Started Ladies Program

At Pennant Hills Golf Club, we understand that Golf can seem terribly complicated to the uninitiated. So many rules, different kinds of clubs, a whole new language to learn with birdies, bogeys, bump-and-runs… That’s where our new Get Started Ladies program comes in. Join us to learn the fundamentals of golf and have a bit of fun along the way, everyone is welcome – you don’t need to have any golfing experience at all!

What will I learn?

The 8 week course is run by our resident PGA Professional Rachel Bailey who will provide you with the basics in a fun and relaxed atmosphere to get you course ready in no time!
Week 1: Welcome and introduction with morning tea to meet Rachel and your fellow Get Started Ladies, become familiar with Pennant Hills Golf Club and learn basics to the swing.
Week 2: Continue work on the swing; learn all about grip, posture, aim and alignment, swinging the club, making contact and gaining a feel for it.
Week 3: Pitching (half swing- approach shots).
Week 4: Chipping (short shots high).
Week 5: Bunkers (getting the ball out onto the green) strange surface, technique.
Week 6: Putting (rolling the ball on the green) judging pace, gaining feel and alignment.
Week 7: Introduction to golf equipment and the full golf course.
Week 8: Review, questions and answers and morning tea with Rachel and your fellow Get Started Ladies.

Once you have completed the program, take advantage of an exclusive special offer for participants to join the Club.

Lady Members competition days are Mondays and Thursdays, with an extensive variety of competitions played throughout the season. Lady Members may also access the course for social play on most other days – just check the timesheets or call the Proshop for more information.
