Securing the Club for Members — Now and in the Future
For over a century, Pennant Hills Golf Club has flourished through the generosity of its Members. The Future Fund continues this proud tradition, providing a source of enduring capital to support the long-term sustainability of the Club for future generations.
Purpose of the Fund
The Future Fund exists to ensure the strategic and financial security of the Club over the next 100 years and beyond.
It provides a corpus of capital that may be:

- Lent to the Club to support major capital projects under defined repayment terms; or
- Accessed in times of need to preserve the Club’s financial stability.
This means the Fund operates as the Club’s internal “reserve bank” held in trust for Members, governed independently, and growing through prudent investment and ongoing contributions.
Governance
The Fund is overseen by a Board of up to seven Guardians, including Club Directors and independent Members with experience in finance, law, and governance.
The Chair of the Future Fund, currently Steve Walker, serves in an independent capacity, ensuring impartial oversight and transparent management of all funds.

Recognition of Contributors
The Club has seeded the Fund with an initial $25,000 contribution and intends to make further annual allocations from future surpluses.
Members who contribute an equivalent or greater amount are recognised permanently on an Honour Board in the Founders Bar, celebrating those whose generosity ensures the Club’s future security.

How to Contribute
Members can contribute to the Future Fund in two ways:
- Directly to the Club, or
- Through the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF) — which offers tax-deductible donations under Australian law.
Please note that the ASF applies a 5% administration fee on all donations.
