Where was the first Bridge on the 9th located?

A note from Bruce Jones (Living History):
I have long pondered trying to locate just where the bridge in the famous photo of E J Hyde and his son crossing at the 9th
in 1929 was, by trying to locate the distinctive rocks, with the tree growing between them.
For years vegetation blocked clear views of the face of the slope, but a photo taken several years ago revealed them.
The tree separating the rocks and tilting them upwards has died and the rocks are now horizontal.
But the distinctive step in the upper right rock, sitting into the lower one is the clear indicator.
Hence, the path from the tee was on the right hand side, down the slope and across the front of these rocks to the bridge
which was to the left looking back from the green.
The satellite photo helps give an indication of the likely path and bridge location.
